HOW IT WORKS
Our Medically Supervised Weight Loss Program utilizes a weekly injectable medication to assist with weight loss. The two medications used most often in our practice are Semaglutide (brand named Wegovy or Ozempic) and Tirzepatide (brand name Mounjaro or Zepbound).

Anti-Obesity Medications
There are currently six Anti-Obesity Medications (AOMs) that are available through prescription and approved by the FDA for long-term use in individuals with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or more or 27 or more with weight-related comorbidities.

Tirzepatide is a powerful new type 2 diabetes drug shown to be extremely effective for weight loss. It was recently approved for diabetes and is awaiting FDA approval for the primary treatment of obesity. It is a dual incretin agonist or a “twincreatin” that acts on TWO hunger hormone receptors: GIP and GLP-1.
